My name is Will Hinkson. I’ve made my living from helping sales reps like you get better at sales, with more consistency – and by building solid playbooks to follow on and off sales calls.

I’m going to share a hypothetical story based on real life experiences from two people in sales.
Two Years Ago, Two Sales REPS Started Taking Calls
These sales reps were very similar. They worked at similar “high ticket” businesses and sold comparable programs.
Both of them were willing to work hard to grow; but one worked harder.
He pushed beyond the normal “sales rep hustle” and started going to the extreme. He started taking calls on weekends, then evenings, then early mornings. Before long, he felt like he had to be available at all hours to be able to book as many sales calls as possible on his calendar.
His “sales career” turned into a prison of his own making.
He came across as needy and desperate on calls because he was needy and desperate to make his sales career “work”. His prospects felt that red hot desperate sales breath on calls and didn’t buy from him. His sales became inconsistent and he dreamed of a day when he could just be done with it.
Unfortunately, he is now a customer success manager.
He didn’t follow the advice, or the models, or the principles that my organization teaches. He listened to fake gurus who sit and “preach” on a hill about
Working weekend” and “grinding harder.” These gurus sound brilliant but they lack the experience of having to create consistent sales reps for years (not weeks) – or their material is outdated and limited in understanding sales and communication principles.
The other sales rep had a very different experience
Similar offer.
Similar opportunity.
Different “operating principles” for running (and growing) his sales career.
This client took our model seriously – models like the Art of Follow Up, Becoming a World Class Conversationalist, 4 Stages of Problem Development, and Clear and Relevant Presentations – models I hope to teach you and install with you in your sales career.
He experienced stress free time on nights and weekends. He didn’t have to skip school plays with the kids or vacation time with his family.
Bills were paid every month with plenty of extra to spare. Within a year, he was positioned so that even if he stopped getting new leads from his company, his sales career would still grow without them (this is largely due to 2 models we teach: (art of follow-up & referral magic).
Every month, his sales pipeline filled up with pre-vetted and pre-sold “warm list” prospects. The new leads from his company didn’t stop but he technically didn’t need new company leads.
As the years went by, he accumulated more referrals & a larger pipeline. Eventually he had more than enough for his lifestyle, so he started looking at ways to ‘retire’ through his investments.
I don’t mean to oversimplify this. There are dozens of models & frameworks that had to be built, executed and stabilized for this to become possible. But it IS predictably possible when you know the right levers to pull at the right time.
Meanwhile, the first sales rep experienced a recurring nightmare.
If you asked him today he’d tell you the world is unfair.
That others keep somehow getting lucky while he gets unlucky. He’ll show you how “smart” he is and why he should be further ahead but nothing is ever his fault. He’s surrounded by other sales reps like him who say what he wants to hear and never what he needs to hear.
And the most likely scenario is he will burnout & dropout – just like the overwhelming majority of sales reps eventually do.

It doesn’t think – it is simply a collection of plans, systems & processes. When you organize them (and utilize them) correctly, your career will be successful.
If you do not, your sales career will fail.
